Meet the Team

Allan R. Heinle, P.E.
Mr. Heinle is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado and an accredited senior appraiser in the American Society of Appraisers. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers and the American Society of Appraisers, and formerly served as the Chairman of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission.

Mr. Heinle began his career in 1974 as a petroleum engineer for Amoco Production Company in field operations and reservoir engineering in the Rocky Mountain Region after receiving a BS in Geological Engineering from the University of North Dakota. He later was employed as a petroleum engineer and assistant Vice President for the First National Bank of Denver valuing oil and gas properties in the United States and Canada. Mr. Heinle also was the production manager for Eagle Exploration Company, having various engineering and management responsibilities. In 1983 Mr. Heinle formed Heinle & Associates, Inc.

Diana E. Dede, P.E.
Ms. Dede is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado and a member of the Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers, Society of Petroleum Engineers, Society of Women Engineers. After receiving a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of North Dakota in 1974, she gained experience working with Amoco Production Company in Wyoming and Colorado. She later worked for Petro-Lewis Corporation evaluating drilling prospects, monitoring field operations and evaluating the expansion of a major waterflood in Wyoming.

Ms. Dede also worked for Ryder Scott Company as a consulting petroleum engineer determining reserves, performing economic analyses of oil and gas properties and determining the feasibility of secondary recovery projects and infill drilling. She evaluated properties throughout the Rocky Mountains and other oil and gas producing states. Since 1986 Ms. Dede has been associated with Heinle & Associates, Inc. as a consulting petroleum engineer.

Rachel Heinle Rabun, P.E.
Ms. Rabun is a licensed professional engineer in Colorado who received a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 2010 and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado in 2008. She is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Young Professionals in Energy, and Society of Women Engineers. Rachel was accepted into Colorado Oil and Gas Association’s Energy Generation Leadership Program which educates and empowers the next generation of oil and gas leaders.

Ms. Rabun previously worked at Noble Energy as a reservoir and production engineer in the Wattenberg Business Unit. During her time as a production engineer she was responsible for appraising and selecting new drill locations, monitoring base production, and evaluating secondary recovery candidates. Ms. Rabun then transitioned to various reservoir engineering roles gaining experience in prospect development, exploration and reservoir systems, acquisitions and divestitures, resource assessment, and project performance analysis.

Sara Heinle
Ms. Heinle received a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 2013 and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering with an emphasis on Fossil Fuel Energy from the University of Colorado in 2010.  Academic research included Geologic Modeling of amalgamated point bars using Multi Point statistics and Object Based reservoir models.  She is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and Young Professionals in Energy.

Previous work experience includes an internship with Ryder Scott Petroleum Engineers where Ms. Heinle modeled various infill drilling scenarios in the Bakken formation and fracture break through patterns between wells completed in the Bakken and Three Forks formations.  Before joining Heinle & Associates, Inc., Ms. Heinle worked at Noble Energy as a production and completions engineer in the Wattenberg Business Unit.  Her responsibilities included the economic analysis and management of vertical and horizontal well production, wellbore integrity, horizontal re-fracs and completion designs.  She also analyzed various completion designs and well recoveries to identify methods of best completion and production practices.
